CALL FOR PAPERS

Thank you so much for your interest in presenting at the LSHA Convention 2025. Our theme this year is, "Unlocking Opportunities for All". We are excited to share with professionals from around our state the many facets of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Whether through novel ideas or new implementation methods of tried-and-true concepts we create opportunities for our clients and ourselves with every decision. The Convention is scheduled for June 6th and 7th, 2025 and will be hosted at LIVE! Casino Hotel located at 711 Live Casino Blvd, Bossier City, LA 71111.

We are accepting proposals for in-person oral seminar presentations to fill various time slots across our entire schedule. We also welcome poster presentations. We welcome presentations in all areas and are specifically looking for presentations related to private practice, student/recent graduate, academia, audiology, as well as various pediatric and adult centered topics. Before submitting your proposal, please review our LSHA Call For Papers Process and Guidelines. Selected speakers will be eligible for discounted registration.

For those traveling for the convention, Shreveport-Bossier City is roughly 83 minutes west of Monroe or 3 hours NW from Lafayette. The Shreveport-Bossier area is home to a thriving academic medical center with a school of allied health, two colleges, a community college, and several satellite programs from other state universities. LIVE! Casino Hotel offers a brand-new experience in NW Louisiana for dining, accommodations, and gaming. While in town, be sure to take a drive and admire the historic homes in the Highlands and South Highlands neighborhoods or take a bike ride by the river on the Red River Bicycle Trail. Enjoy a movie at the IMAX Dome theater at Sci-Port Discovery Center and handfeed the stingrays at the Shreveport Aquarium!

The questions on this form are required for LSHA to obtain ASHA CEUs for the conference and for advertising/promotional materials. All proposals will be reviewed and accepted proposals will be notified through the email address listed within the submission by March 2, 2025.

ALL proposals must be submitted no later than January 31st, 2025.
